BUCKLE UP FAMILY. I was excited to try this Popeyes as I haven't had their food in years. I pulled up to the drive through and was pleasantly greeted by a young lady at the window. I promptly ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal, with a medium sprite and a side of mashed potatoes WITH a 5 piece chicken strip box and ranch sauce.

I pulled up to the Pollo Portal to pay and receive my food and the customer service was great. I was in and out of the line in 7 minutes flat. I received my medium sprite first, pierced the lid with my elongated liquid transport device, and took a sip. Sparkling water. I assume the syrup in the soda dispenser ran out because there was no taste.

Next, I popped the top on the mashed potatoes and dug in. HOT. Overall they were good, small chunks of potatoes with every bite. I finished that and tossed it aside like Woody in Toy Story 1. Next I peeled back the foil encasing my spicy chicken sandwich. Under that, it was again wrapped in another cloth like a newborn baby swaddled in a storks mouth. I took a bite and this sandwich sent my taste-icles to pound town. Every bite was fresh, new, and with exploding taste. Not overly spicy, and the chicken was QUALITY. After that was devoured, I pried the lid of my tenders back and reached into my bag searching for the ranch sauce. To my disappointment, they had forgotten to include the dipping goodness. I sighed, laid my forehead against my steering wheel, and contemplated life. I finally came around and decided to give these little tendies the chance they deserved. Good crunch action, but flavorless, and most parts of the chicken was skinnie Minnie.

In conclusion, the good parts of the food outweighed the tasteless drink & tenders (which would have been better had my sauce not gotten left behind). The spicy chicken sandwich was the starring cast member, and I took a star off because of the tasteless tenders & drink and ranch neglect, however I would go back out of curiosity to try other menu items and for that BANGIN chicken sandwich.

Got there at 931pm. Inside closed at 930. No problem, I'll go through drive through. Got in line, 3 cars ahead of me. Guess when I got my order? 955pm. Did I mention that there were only 3 cars ahead of me? I thought I was going to run out of gas waiting for this chicken! Ridiculous!! When I got to the window, it looked like they were having a rave inside of the building! Everyone was roughhousing and screwing around. Fact: I will never go there again, and I mean it. That is no way to treat a customer. They were purposefully working slowly to make people leave the drive-through.

Oh yeah, and when I did finally get my meal, the guy at the counter spilled my drink all over my crotch when he handed it to me, then gave me a hard time giving me napkins to clean it up.  He said I already had some in my bag which is ridiculous because those are for my meal (which they gave me no utensils for). Of course he didn't refill the drink either.

When you're craving some warm, comforting high-calorie fat, Popeyes has you covered!
I had a craving as I was passing by, and stopped on the way back for that spicy fried chicken that I used to eat fairly regularly when I worked nearby at a miserable job whose highlight was proximity to Popeyes where I would get fried chicken, a side or two, plus a biscuit and oh, what the heck the soda comes with it. Then I would take a nap. Involuntarily. That made for good points with supervisors(!)
Anywho, I hadn't been in forever and I was HUNGRY and in the mood for mucho calories. And it was less than 7 bucks for three pieces of chicken and a biscuit and some very regrettable cole slaw.
It's that kinda place. This was my first time at this location, and it was pretty much the same experience I had when I was doing a Popeyes chow-down on a regular basis, except this location was clean. That's nice.

Chicken was bawking in my mouth. Borderline alive. Mashed potatoes did not taste like taters. French fries not cajun enough. Service was wonderful though!
